Our Background

The Sanders family has always had a love of the outdoors, and recognized the need to preserve the farm land that makes Palisade, Colorado so distinctive. Over a decade ago, James and Laura Sanders took the leap into the farming industry with the desire to be part of that preservation, donating land to Grand Mesa Land Trust, ensuring that it will remain the beautiful orchards that you see today will remain for generations to come.

With a humble start, the original part of their orchard was just 8 acres. Over the years that has grown into over 50 acres. And in that time they have discovered a new respect for the land they love. Gently cultivating the delicious, farm fresh fruit we have come to know and love.
